PRESCHOOL MUSIC CAMP
(PRE/K, 3-5 years old, potty-trained)
(AM only, 9-11:30 am. Limited seating)
Introduction to music: free exposure to various instruments including piano, strings, and percussion. Guided, yet self-paced exploration in sound and physics, exploration of arts, craft, and a taste of an early childhood music and movements class. Incorporation of Mozart Preschool Program, Gifted Child in Music Assessment, and Professional Consultation included.

JUNIOR EXPLORER
Lower Elementary: (6-8 years old)
(9-1 pm, Add-on option)
CONSULTATION: an initial Consultation matches the student to the right program to his/her interest. Depending on the skill level in a musical instrument, we prepare the students to explore various types of music and arts.

MUSIC: Introduction to the Beginner Piano/Violin Adventure’s Course to students without a previous experience in either instruments. For skilled students, we help in their daily piano/violin practice according to their private teacher’s instruction. For students who are experienced but without a designated private teacher, we may guide them according to the goal we have planned during the initial consultation. It is not guaranteed that the student will complete the Beginner Adventure’s Course to be used to meet the eligibility to register in a Private Division at the Bellevue Academy of Music. In the event the course has been completed successfully, it will be used to satisfy the requirement which will show in their Final Assessment.

ARTS: We explore sketch, painting, and crafts. Although the themes are guided, students are allowed to voice on their selection of the art mediums to develop and encourage their creativity.

SENIOR EXPLORER
Higher Elementary: (9-10 years old)
(9-1 pm, Add-on option)
CONSULTATION: As many students are narrowing down on their interest around this age, we discuss ways to help them develop in such field by setting out an initial plan together.

MUSIC: Students are guided to explore and try out different instruments in orchestra and band which will give them a head-start when they need to select an instrument for their senior music curriculum in school. Students will choose a few instruments during the week with some goals to grab the basic understanding. Besides trying out new instruments, if you already have an instrument that you are focusing on and would like to polish your skills, you may bring it to the class which will be kept and handled in a safe place. We guide students to polish their daily music practice according to their private teacher’s instruction. For students who are experienced but without a designated private teacher, we may guide them according to the goal we have planned during the initial consultation.

ARTS: Students in the Senior Artists division will choose and work on a project on the first day. We help them create and plan strategically using various types of medium. Students may finish one or more projects during the week which they will bring home at the end.
