Buy Pianos
A guide to buying a piano in Seattle.
There are many parts to consider when purchasing a piano. First, you need to decide if you want a brand new piano or a used one. With a careful selection, a used piano may do a just as good job as any new piano. For any piano, it is a good idea to find a good warranty program provided by the dealer. It will cover damages of many parts over the years of usage. Sound quality is also important. You might realize that even the same make and model will produce different sound quality and action when compared individually. Another step to check is to look inside the piano for proper alignment of the pins and strings. If there are too much erosion and rust around the pins, it is likely that the piano has not been well maintained and therefore a higher risk of damage.
Unless you are a professional who can tell all these by your eyes and ears, avoid flea market sellers and find a good consultant.
